Missions Ministries
"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:18-20a)

Our vision for ARCC's Missions Ministry is to effectively promote and support Jesus' Great Commission to "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19). We recognize that we follow Christ today because of the faithfulness of fellow followers spanning nearly two-thousand years to take the "Good News" to the ends of the earth. As such, the ongoing work of missions is a cornerstone of our ministry at American River Community Church.
Globally our congregation commits 10% of the annual budget in support of specific missionary families and contributes to worldwide mission efforts. We also support missions here "at home" in the US and locally in the Sacramento metropolitan area. Through donations and in service we contribute to local missions such as the Carmichael food closet, Loaves and Fishes, the Union Gospel Mission and our own Community Garden.
