Sunday Mornings @ ARCC
Sunday Worship Schedule
9:30-10:30 – Casual Worship Service
10:30-11:00 - Fellowship Time in Rasmussen Hall (Refreshments Provided)
11:00-12:00 - Traditional Worship Service
Though each of us have our imperfections (that might be putting it mildly), we love to get together as a church family to sing to God, to learn from His Word, and to encourage each other. Sunday morning is the primary time we get to do this.
PARENTS WITH CHILDREN GRADE 5 AND YOUNGER, MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE “QUICK TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST VISIT” BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CHILDREN’S MINISTRY INFO!
First FROM 9:30-10:30 WE HAVE OUR CASUAL AND CONTEMPORARY SERVICE. Expect an upbeat worship band and jeans. This service is relaxed and the message is delivered in a more interactive, relational way.
From 10:30-11:00 WE GATHER IN RASMUSSEN HALL OR OUT IN THE COURTYARD FOR “FELLOWSHIP” (that’s church lingo for hanging out over coffee, punch and pastries). This is a GREAT time to get to know the people of ARCC a bit more. There the congregation (from both services) “collides” to reflect a church of all ages and stages of life.
Then we offer a TRADITIONAL SERVICE FROM 11:00-12:00, which is, of course, a more traditional approach to corporate worship. Music is primarily traditional hymns and occasional praise songs accompanied by piano or organ and excellent vocal leadership.
If you want to stick around for the whole morning, we do offer some Bible study groups on Sunday morning (and throughout the week!). Please contact the church office for more information.
Quick Tips for your First Visit
If you recently visited ARCC or are planning to, below are a few quick tips that we hope will enhance your time with us on Sunday. We’d also encourage you to stop by the Information Center in the lobby when you visit. There you will find a campus map and additional information about ARCC as well as someone who can answer any other questions you might have.
- Hey, WE LOVE KIDS and we want them to have a great time, and we want you to know that they are in good hands. See our “Survival Guide” for parents who are new to our Sunday morning King’s Kids Children’s Ministry. You should also see plenty of signs to let you know where the nursery and kids’ classes are located. Note: Our Nursery/2’s & 3’s room is staffed during both services (9:15-12:15). We currently offer Children ministry for kids ages 4 and up (through 5th grade) only during the first service. These children start off with their parents in the Main Service and then are dismissed after the first set of songs (about 15-20 minutes into the service). Kid’s Kits (full of crayons and paper to keep little hands busy) are also available for children who stay in our main services (just ask an usher for one).
- Make sure you don’t forget to check out the Cafe which is open throughout the morning in Rasmussen Hall. There you will find pastries, coffee and some nice people as well.
- We celebrate The Lord’s Supper or Communion on the first Sunday of each month. If you have made Jesus Christ Lord of your life (you need not be a member of the church), we invite you to examine your heart and participate in this celebration of Christ’s love, mercy, and sacrifice.
- Is there something going on in your life that is really weighing you down? We’d love to pray for you! One way for that to happen is for you to fill out a Prayer Card (located on the back of the pews) and place it in the offering bag or hand it to an usher.
- We invite everyone to participate in giving financially to the offering. Your financial gifts go to the Lord’s work.
- If you want to listen to the sermon again (or check out others you might have missed), make sure you check out the “Teachings” section of our website (under “Interactive”) where you can download sermon notes and listen to past sermons.
