Being a natural born rebel, I either overlooked or chose to ignore the directive that said to use the distributed form but here goes, anyway. I was born in Chico, California in 1951. I am a fourth generation Californian and if my grandparents hadn’t moved to Chico after their children were born, I would have been a fourth generation Sacramentan. Today I live in Citrus Heights only a few miles away from where my forbears homesteaded. Alan, my husband of twelve years, and I have two four-footed children; an elderly cat and a middle-aged dog. I graduated from Mira Loma High School in 1969 and went to Sacramento State College (now known as CSUS) for three years. Unable to decide on a major, I quit college and got a job. Since then I have worked in many different kinds of jobs and had many "adventures" in life before recognizing my need for a Savior.
Since my conversion, the Lord has used "all things to work together for good." He arranged for me to meet my husband who was and is a member of ARCC. I have volunteered for various jobs since our marriage and am currently a volunteer graphic artist. I prepare the PowerPoint slides for each service at ARCC and various ministry brochures and posters.
Since becoming a Christian I have had an intense hunger to know Christ and attended BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) for seven years. After completing BSF I continued to study the Bible both in various ARCC sponsored studies and on my own.
Other interests, which I share with my husband, include sightseeing throughout the United States and occasionally abroad. We also share an interest in watching certain Science Fiction and Fantasy shows and movies. Redecorating our house, which allows me to get dirty and use power tools, has been an ongoing personal project. I also like to watch HGTV, read and quilt. My life scripture is Romans 8:28-39.
