| BELIEVING
AT ARCC |
Believing
in Jesus as Lord and Savior is not a condition for attending ARCC.
People of all walks of life have come to see how we "do church."
Some are looking for a church home, others are looking to discover
answers to their questions regarding spirituality, God, or to simply
find out what following Jesus is all about. You can "belong"
before you believe. Below is listed what we believe as a community
of Christ.

 |
 |
God |
We
believe in one God, creator of the universe. God consists of the Father,
the Son and the Holy Spirit, three persons, yet but one God. (Isaiah
44:6; Psalms 8:1, 97:9; Romans 1:18-20; Psalms 19:1-2; 2 Timothy 3:15;
I Corinthians 2:9-10; John 4:24; Jeremiah 10:10; 1 Corinthians 8:6;
John 10:30.) |
 |
The
Bible |
We
believe the Bible is the Word of God and has the authority to guide
and direct our beliefs and actions. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) |
 |
Jesus |
We
believe in the deity and the humanity of Jesus Christ who is God the
Son in human form. Jesus ministered on earth, was killed and then
after three days, came back to life and now dwells at the right hand
of God the Father. (Galatians 3:13; I Timothy 2:5;
John 1:14; Colossians 2:9-10; Romans 9:5 Hebrews 2:14; Matthew 26:38;
Luke 1:31, 2:52; Hebrews 4:15, 7:26.) |
 |
The
Holy Spirit |
We
believe in the deity and work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit
is sent by the Father and the Son to present Christ to us and equip
us for His service. He is God's indelible mark of ownership on us,
revealing God's truth to us, putting us right with God, interceding
in our behalf and giving life to our mortal bodies on the day of
resurrection. (John 3:5,6; Titus 3:5,6; Ephesians
2:8, 3:17; 2 Timothy 1:9; John 16:8-11.)
|
 |
Human
Race |
We
believe that the human race was created by God in His image. Creation
was for fellowship with God which is made possible by humanity's unique
capability to respond to his creator. God gave our race stewardship
over the earth. Our first parents responded against God (rebellion),
thus imputing sin upon the whole human race. As sinners, we have corrupted
and alienated ourselves from God. As such, we stand under the penalty
of universal death and eternal separation from God and in desperate
need of a Savior. (Genesis 1:27, 28; Colossians
3:10; Ephesians 4:24; Genesis 3:6; Ecclesiastes 7:29; Romans 5:12,
18, 19; 1 Corinthians 15:21, Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:23) |
 |
Salvation |
We
believe God loves people and desires that no one to be separated from
Him. God devised a plan where people can be at one in their relationship
to God. This salvation is only through simple faith in Jesus Christ
as Lord of our lives. (John 3:16; Acts 3:19; Romans
10:9-17; Matthew 7:21-27.) |
 |
World
History
and Eternity |
We
believe that the world (history) will one day come to an end. This
end is designed by God and only He knows the day and the hour when
it will happen. Should death precede this final end, conscious existence
will continue in a manner and place determined by our acceptance or
rejection of Jesus as Lord. We believe Jesus Christ will come again
as Lord, Ruler and Judge of all humankind. All will be judged according
to their given choice of accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. A choice
of Christ as Lord results in eternity with God - Heaven. A rejection
of Christ as Lord results in eternal separation from God - Hell. (Hebrews
12:23; Philippians 1:23; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Luke 23:43; 1 Thessalonians
4:14; Luke 16:22, 24; Psalms 49:14; John 5:28, 29; 2 Thessalonians
1:9; Matthew 25:41.) |
 |
The
Church |
We
believe that Jesus Christ is the only Head of the Church and that
all believers are equally servants of God. The Church is God's agent
in the interim between Christ's resurrection and His Second Coming.
As an agent of God, it has both heavenly and earthly qualities. (Acts
2:42-47; Ephesians 1:10,22,23; John 10:16, 11:52.) |
